I was 14 when I was first introduced to the music of Keith Green. My first album of his was called "Songs of the Shepherd" and the picture on the front was Keith holding a lamb around his shoulders. I listened to this album over and over and was so touched by the words and music that I bought the songbook and spent months learning how to play it.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

He makes me lie down in green pastures

He leads me beside the still waters

He restoreth my soul

And guides my path in righteousness

For His name’s sake

Surely goodness and lovingkindness

Shall follow me all the days of my life

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever and ever and ever

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I will not fear, Thou art with me

Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me

Thou preparest a table before me in

The presence of my enemies

Surely goodness and lovingkindness

Shall follow me all the days of my life

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever and ever and ever

Surely goodness and lovingkindness

Shall follow me all the days of my life

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever and ever and ever

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want

Scripture:

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6 CSV
