Learning to be still is very difficult. What an understatement! It's the key to being able to refill and refuel. For me, I didn't begin learning how to be still until I was on a medical leave and had to spend time a long, extended time resting. Even then, I fought the process. Sometimes, I still do.

Be still, my soul and wait, wait

Quiet yourself and wait, wait

Come refresh your soul

Wait upon the Lord, wait, wait

Be still, my soul, He’s calling

Quiet yourself, He’s calling

Listen to the Father’s voice, He’s calling

Listen to the Father’s voice, He’s calling

Ooo - oo, Ooo – oo-o

Be still, my soul, rest, rest

Quiet yourself and rest, rest

Hide within His Loving arms and rest, rest

Hide within His Loving arms and rest, rest

Ooo - oo, Ooo – oo-o     Ooo - oo, Ooo – oo-o

Be still, my soul and know He is God

Quiet yourself and know He’s God

Surrender to your Father’s care and know He is God

Surrender to your Father’s care and know He is God

Ooo - oo, Ooo – oo-o     Ooo - oo, Ooo – oo-o

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.  Psalm 62:5 ESV

Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10
